Throughout the rodeo season, IJRA contestants can earn points in each event they compete in.  At the end of the season, these points are added up. One missed rodeo or the lowest score in each event will be dropped from that total. From that total, the top four contestant's in each event earn a trip to the State Finals rodeo.

The State Finals rodeo consists of two (2) rodeos over a 2-day period.

The All-Around Cowboy and Cowgirl of the State Finals are determined by the greatest number of points earned during the 2-day event in each age group.

We will have parent events at the Finals again. We are currently planning on Bareback Barrel Racing, Egg Toss - we may add two more but are checking on things for that.

We will have shavings for sale for $5 a bag for sale at the finals. WE ALL HAVE TO PICK OUT OUR STALLS BEFORE WE LEAVE. We do not have to strip the stalls, just pick out wet bedding and manure. Board members please bring a wheel barrel and fork to share so we all have enough.

Where we are located for the finals there are many stores, restaurants and hotels close by. There is a TSC just down the road if you forget something.

The Mizpah Shrine is about one mile north of US 30 on Route 9 in Columbia City. It is on the left hand side.

The address is 985 N State Road 9, Columbia City, Indiana 46725

There are electric hook ups and showers/restroom at the Shrine grounds.

We will have pizza from Pizza Hut on Saturday and the Eastep family is bringing watermelon! I am hoping to have donated drinks from Coke but we will see if that all plays out.

There is a fun place right down the road for the kids. They have putt putt, go karts, games and a ride or two for the kids. I have some passes for 1 free game/ride that we will be giving out during raffles or some fun way.

I would love to do some fun water games for the kids on Friday or on Saturday. I don't know if I will get this all planned. If anyone would like to head it up that would be great or we can just let the kids find their own entertainment or hit the go cart place.

We are also going to check with the TSC in Columbia City to see if they will let us sell our raffle tickets outside if we have a lot left. I think right now I personally have 220 raffle tickets and that does not count what people have not sold. Please try to sell your tickets and make sure you bring the stubs and money with you.

I am hoping to have a table with Thank you cards for our sponsors but that may happen at the Bartonia rodeo.

I'm sure I forgot to add something but this is a good start.
