
*Contestant shall have the option to run through the gate if there is a staging area and if arena conditions allow.
A. TIME LIMIT: Sixty (60) Seconds
B. PROPERTIES:
1. Iron and metal poles are prohibited.
2. Poles must be at least six (6) feet high and uniform in height.
3. Use of rubber safety poles is strongly encouraged.
C. Contestant leaves start/finish line with forward motion.
D. Contestant may start either to the right or to the left of the first pole and then must run the remainder of the pattern accordingly. (See Pole Pattern.)
E. The standard pole bending pattern shall be used for distances.
1. Six poles are to be used.
2. Each pole is to be twenty-one (21) feet apart.
3. The first pole is to be twenty-one (21) feet from the start/finish line, or as arena allows.
F. Contestant will be assessed 5 seconds for each pole knocked down.
G. Contestant shall be disqualified for any of the following:
1. Re-crossing the start/finish line before completing pattern, as arena conditions allow.
2. Knocking three poles down.
3. Not continuing in a forward motion.
H. If the contestant’s hat/helmet leaves the body of the contestant during any run, they will receive a 10-second penalty.
