Disqualification from the Indiana Junior Rodeo Association (IJRA) shall be subject to appeal to the Board of Directors.

 1.  Competing under an assumed name or falsifying any entry information.

 2.          Attempting to enter any IJRA while under suspension.

 3.          Evasion of financial obligation on the part of a Contestant or family member incurred as a result of entry, membership or participation in any IJRA functions.

 4.          Failure to return any prize erroneously awarded.

 5.          Failure to display Contestant's number on back.

 6.          Improper attire.

 7.          Failure to comply with Arena Director's instructions.

 8.          Improper entrance to arena.

 9.    Not being ready when called.

a.  Announcer shall call Contestant three (3) times.  If Contestant is not present and prepared to compete, he/she shall be disqualified from that event.

10.   If Contestant does not enter arena within the sixty (60) second time limit, he/she shall be disqualified from that event.

11.          Failure to have a Western hat/helmet on his/her head for any of the following:

a.  In all events using a pattern and/or in goat tying events, when entering the arena (crossing the plane of the "in" gate).
b.  In roping events and steer wrestling, when calling for stock.
c.  In all rough stock events, when calling for stock.

12.   Use of illegal or improper equipment.

13.          Exceeding Time Limits.  Failure to complete an event in the prescribed time limit (excluding penalties) set for that event will result in disqualification from that event. Contestant must leave the arena immediately upon expiration of the time limit.

14.   Not Being Mounted.  A Contestant must be mounted at the completion of his/her time in an event, unless it is an integral part of the competition for the Contestant to be on foot, as in calf roping or dogging.  Failure to be mounted will result in disqualification from that event.  Falling off horse in any event will result in a disqualification.  Contestant may not remount nor continue event.

15.   Re-crossing Start/Finish Line.  In all timed events using a start/finish line, a Contestant shall be disqualified for re-crossing the start/finish line prior to finishing the designated pattern.

16.          Running the animal through the entrance gate, unless arena conditions allow and a staging area is set up.  This is to be determined during the check- in time of EACH rodeo.

17.          Breaking Pattern.  A Contestant shall be disqualified for breaking the pattern in pole bending and barrel racing.

18.   In any roping event, anyone on the ground handing the rope to Contestant or Contestant dismounting to pick up rope, after it has been thrown, to rebuild loop. NOTE:  In any roping event, a ten (10) second penalty shall be assessed if Contestant throws rope before horse clears the roping box.

19.   In any roping event, no stock can be roped in the box. Roping any stock while it is in either of the two boxes will results in a no-time.

20.   A suspended Contestant who has entered any IJRA function will automatically surrender any fees advanced to that rodeo after the date of the suspension.
